Flash is the heart of VisualRadio. It is a self-contained software frontend and may be run as either
- a Server or
- a Client
If used as a server (by pressing 'Server') VR Flash will automatically connect to the hardware (i.e. the receiver) and take control. Functions like 'FREQUENCY', 'MODE', 'WIDTH' are controlled by the software and results displayed accordingly.
At the same time Flash listens for incoming commands on a TCP port (default = 54080) and will act accordingly. This is where the client comes into play:
If the same software is started as a 2nd instance on the same or as a single instance on a different machine it will connect to the server machine allowing for remote control of the server.
